I saw this movie years ago and I really liked it. It is one of my favorite movies even today. It is a story of romance between two ordinary people. I think that is what makes it appealing.... Full review

I would have liked it to be a little more coddled in its presentation because this movie has some really nice songs on it. There is no denying that Irving and Riegert and both immensely appealing but the true scene stealer here is the late and wonderful Reizl Bozyk who was a veteran actress on the Yiddish stage where she cut her acting chops for 50 years. ...
