Haggis and his brilliant cast often perform loudly....The setting has just the right melting pot flashpoint posture to sell this seething tale, instilling the film with a realistic take on racial claustrophobia.....As the film moves along (quite swiftly too), "Crash" grows stronger and stronger, until it feels....exploits the audiences' own personal prejudices with his scripted moments of aggravation, bitterness, and incorrect racial assignment.....it balances melodrama and realism in a seamless way..... ... The bad news is everyone all around the country apparently can't get enough of heavy-handed race relations interconnectedness melodrama.....merely by virtue of not being Paul Haggis's Crash are infinitely better candidates for being the most popular DVD rental in the country.....the most popular movie on Netflix is ultimately a meaningless achievement.....Well, America, the good news is you've managed to baffle Paul Haggis to the point of quotable false modesty..... ... Crash , winner of 3 Academy Awards, released on May 6, 2005, was one of the most captivating films of all time.....The characters in each plot are either outwardly prejudice....Other noteworthy actors in the film were Sandra Bullock, Brendan Fraser, Tony Danza, Don Cheadle and Ludicrous.....The film can definitely evoke passion.... ... The first original drama series for movie channel Starz (after FX originally developed it, then passed), "Crash" the series isn't a sequel or spin-off to the movie, but rather some kind of spiritual cousin.
Opponents of the film vilified it for what they considered thin characterizations and stilted dialogue, and, most of all, for being little more than a feature-length version of the "Avenue Q" song "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist.
