One day, as I was flicking through the ever so abysmal Zone-Horror channel on SKY digital, I found this on there for a later viewing. I clicked onto the info about this movie and the phrase"cult classic" was used to describe... Full review

This film is a classic. One of my alltime favorites and remains today to be one of the best. With a great cast including Perry King and Malcolm McDowell. This film is a must see for everyone.... Full review

Rape, gory violence, great villains, a killer signature song from Alice Cooper ("I Am The Future"), and solid performances from genre vets such as Perry King ("Mandingo", "Search and Destroy") and Roddy McDowell equal one of the greatest exploitation films... Full review

King of the 80's high school punk scene. Where is Timothy Van Patten? According to the the site (imdb)he's done some directing but I thought he kicked ass as the gangs leader Stegman, a chilling and mesmerizes performance in my... Full review

"Class of 1984" is a highly memorable cult film depicting a high school of the "future" overridden by violence and crime. Sadly, this premise, while far-out at the time, turned out to be all too prophetic.Perry King plays Andy Norris,... Full review
Class of 1984 is a calculatedly unpleasant revenge thriller. It's the kind of film that any viewer with a shred of moral dignity will expect to hate.... but the film is surprisingly well acted and, in its ruthless and unrelenting... Full review

What a superb film. I watched it when I was about 10 years old and must have saw it another 50 times. My local video shop promised to sell it to me when they took it off the shelf but they... Full review
Class of 1984(1982) is trash at it's best. Punk kids running the schools, driving the teachers crazy. An idealistic teacher (Perry King) tries to change all that. But like all people who share his ideals in movies, they always run... Full review
The 1980s were a bit of a let down after the 1970s for exploitation fans, but there were a few gems released alongside the 'Risky Business's and 'Mr.Mom's. 'Chained Heat' and 'The Exterminator' immediately spring to mind, and 'Class Of... Full review
An absorbing piece of exploitation.

"Death Wish" meets "The Blackboard Jungle" in this brutal, increasingly violent thriller. If I were to judge it from a strictly objective point of view, I'd have to be very negative - it's a totally exploitative piece of work. But... Full review

Class of 1984 may have been prophetic but the execution is mediocre and a little slimy. I know it is difficult to film a movie using underage actors, but it can be done and the result is a more realistic movie. ... Full Review

Unlike the other more popular, accessible films mentioned; Class of 1984 is dark, relentless, bleak, and uncompromising with its depictions of teen violence, drugs, prostitution, and rape. There is a lengthy discussion about how the ending was slightly altered so that it was, ultimately, more audience satisfying. ... Full Review

Class of 1984 (1982) isn't as good as it might have been but it also rises above the exploitation sleaze labeling that sold it to enthusiastic Times Square audiences and shell-shocked suburbanites when it was new. Parting Thoughts In the end, Class of 1984 is pretty entertaining if violent and bleak. ... Full Review

Class of 1984 " is not a great movie but it works with quiet, strong efficiency to achieve more or less what we expect from a movie with such a title. Class of 1984 " is raw, offensive, vulgar, and violent, but it contains the sparks of talent and wit, and it is acted and directed by people who cared to make it special. ... Full Review
