This definitely could have been better but hey most films could be atleast a little better. I thought that this was a decent adaptaion from the novel. The story really is hard to beat and the acting was pretty good. The... Full review

The film looked cheap. Its protagonist is a sex addict so I guess that the choice for making a boring and plain looking movie would be to show his lifestyle to be just that. I liked Sam Rockwell and I'm usually... Full review

Sam Rockwell's talent for sardonic aloofness serves 'Choke....Scruffy and sloppy, and not without a filthy charm, " Choke " is writer-director Clark Gregg's adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's 2001 novel of sex addiction and mother issues....As the story of a wallowing pig, "Choke" is often pretty entertaining....The lively 16-millimeter grain, Rockwell's loose performance and the sketch-like nature of the rude humor (mostly involving Victor's various sexual misadventures) give "Choke" the feel of an extended s ... But the interplay of farce and drama is funny, grotesque, and even touching.
Finally, an episode of Fox Movie Channel's Casting Call devoted to Choke gives 10 minutes of behind-the-camera decisions, probably the best of the bunch for people who're interested in how movies get put together.

Sam Rockwell was excellent in the lead role as he weaves seamlessly through comic and dramatic scenes with devilish charm.....I am a sucker for dark comedy and Gregg's nuance was pitch perfect....But if you are one of those people that love dark comedy....she was wildly perfect in the many flashback portions of the film.....The director Clark Gregg is also a wonderful character actor (you would recognize him as the representative for SHIELD in Iron Man ) who plays a great quasi-villain in the Colonial town ...
