plenty of kids love Chitty Chitty Bang Bang , and that's what counts.....People born between 1958 and 1962 seem to love Chitty Chitty Bang Bang....The art direction is precious and pretty but not interesting.....I think Sally Ann Howes does a fine job as well.....the original book of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a charming delight.... ... I always enjoy it.....Here he is allowed free rein to puncture all the bloated self-important images of European aristocracy, mainly in throwaway moments.....I know it's not the greatest....I thought a nice happy kiddy musical might restore my temper.....He's very excited by a new film project he thinks will have an absolutely brilliant role for me..... ... Chitty Chitty Bang Bang requires no thought whatsoever, its only intention is to delight and so I appeal to you: sod work, sod university, go watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, have a few beers and return home a happy contented soul.
Possibly the best parts of the film though are given to the baddies.
