as i watched this movie, i could not but keep thinking that the director is a Mexican. indeed he told the media that he really referred to his people, that tens of millions of mexicans are trekking across the U.S. Mexico... Full review

I hated this movie so much, I had to warn people. It is a pro-illegal immigration movie with no plot. Why are there anti-Bush signs 27 years in the future? And somehow the British government begins the torture of illegal aliens....duh.... Full review

Great flick -- it's futuristic but realistic, capturing the hopelessness of humanity and continued man-vs.-man conflict that exists even when facing a common enemy (the extinction of humanity). The cinematophy is oscar-worthy. Children of Men is one of the year's best... Full review

This film is about them, their characters and it succeeds in large part to their performances.....Thankfully, "Children of Men" is allowed to stay dark, violent and unhappy.....Michael Caine is absolutely outstanding as the pot smoking hippie....In this regard, "Children of Men" feels like a problem that is society nearing the brink in a far more recent future than dated in the film.....certainly does not strive to neatly tie up the film´s plot with a feel-good ending..... ...
