the resulting documentary is considerably more interesting than the film itself.....In fact, that superfluous subplot is emblematic of an overall problem with the entire film.....It's a scene that highlights the film's greatest asset -....Unfortunately, The Golden Boys unfolds at a pace befitting its septuagenarian cast, which means....I'd even recommend renting the film just for this featurette.... ...
