Which brings us to "Charlie Bartlett", a surprisingly reminiscent movie to those mentioned above.
I started to think that we haven't really had a great comedy like that in some time--a comedy that comes alive thanks to a free spirit.

School's a rollercoaster ride, but for the perceptive principal (Robert Downey Jr) and his irresistible daughter (Kat Denning) who finds Charlie alluring too.
Charlie (Anton Yelchin), a poor little rich kid, is thrown out of almost all the private schools, much to the discomfiture of his single mother (Hope Davis) who is forced to send him to the neighbourhood public school.

What's worse is that the film manages to bore you with its clichs.
