Under-rated

This movie is excellent. The plot, acting everything. It's funny, yet still makes you think and maybe a tear or two. This movie was and still is completely under-rated! If you ever get a chance watch it and see for yourself.... Full review
Dave (Matthew Modine), Vic (Randy Quaid), and Donny (Paul Reiser) are a trio of friends and divorced fathers. Dave has a beautiful new young girlfriend named Kim (Maria Pitillo) but still sports a wandering eye. Vic, whose soul was definitely bruised... Full review

This film is very simplistic! i thought that it was going to be really funny because of all the rivalry of the Ex-spouses! but that wasnt the total case! overall i dont really reccommend this film.... Full review
Divorce American style

Divorce is a pervasive fact of life in our society. The three men at the center of the story, Vic, Donny, and Dave, have recently been divorced. It appears that all three have gone through friendly separations, as in all three... Full review
Food for Thought

Though this did not receive many favorable reviews, I thought this movie was a good example of some of the trials of couples and children who have experienced the pain of divorce. It showed that no matter what the parents have... Full review
Single fathers and their hang ups.

A look at modern day divorced American single fathers and their attachment to McDonalds! It has some sincere and funny moments that make it worth the while but as always, when Hollywood gets to close to the truth, it turns to... Full review

This is a very enjoyable little movie and after seven years and numerous viewings, I still watch it every time it's on TV. Of all the movies I've seen dealing with divorce and broken homes this one comes the closest to... Full review

Not just about divorce, but about fathers.....

Call me easily amused, but I think this is a movie more likely to be accepted by those who can relate, having had similar experiences - both hilarious and heartwrenching. The three main characters are divorced dads, each with their own... Full review
Very likeable picture of modern American life

My love for this movie is a bit of a mystery. It seems Bye, Bye, Love would appeal most to divorced parents looking for some redemption for their messed up lives. But I'm a single guy in his thirties who grew... Full review

Too often the film's raft of characters seems to behave like puppets rather than actual people. Amid all the * Sturm und Drang , you can be grateful for Johnny Whitworth and the late Ed Flanders, nice normal types, co-workers at that McDonald's, who strike up a father-and-son relationship. ... A mixed bag, but generally an enjoyable one, "Bye Bye Love" is rated PG-13, primarily for Hollywood's favorite profanity being spoken once. But the relationships between the main characters are quite well-drawn, and the pop music sound-track is better here than most modern movies, offering comic counterpoint more often than intrusiveness. ...
