With the exception of a segment focusing on Fredrick Pokorney (a young Nevadan who died early in the Iraq War), Bush's Brain is relatively passionless. This is the epitome of a "talking head" documentary. A majority consists of interviews with... Full review

This documentary was really a disappointment. I've been meaning to watch it for a while (even though it's all old news now) but was shocked at how uninformative it actually was. It basically meandered on in this "wild" allegation that... Full review

Still, BUSH'S BRAIN is a fine, talking head doc well worth viewing especially for politically active and motivated filmgoers.

Film Threat, Hollywood's Indie V
The most egregious and needlessly manipulative segment is a maudlin look at the family of a soldier killed in the Irag war.
Here we see George W. Bush, the former failed oilman, losing congressional candidate, owner of one of baseballs' most pathetic franchises, and often ridiculed governor, stepping off of Air Force One to greet the troops as President of the United States and Commander in Chief.

Advocates of evenhandedness could point out that the directors fail to produce a "smoking gun," but in light of the Bush administration's disdain for anyone, liberal or conservative, who questioned their assertion that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, most viewers are likely to give Mealey and Shoob the benefit of the doubt.

The film goes into details about how Sen. John McCain was defaced for having a 'black love child' by the media when in reality he had adopted an orphan, and how Sen. Max Cleland, a man who lost three of his limbs in Vietnam during active duty, was smeared in an add campaign that used images of Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein to paint him as unpatriotic and uninterested in national security when he didn't vote for the Republican version of the Patriot act (though didn't vote against the act... ...
