The supposedly funny moments are mired in self-importance. The support provided for love to evolve in the script and direction is so minimal that you wonder what Kukunoor was thinking when he put the "desi" chef and his Malaysian play-mate into a film that treats crime time as a rap song and the road-romance-thriller as a cauldron of kill-joy techniques. ... Several portions of the film are just purely annoying like whenever Nagesh shows a scene and cuts across to reveal that it was just a dream sequence. Kukunoor tries real hard by inserting a lot of dumb humor into the gloomy premise to try to liven things up when nothing else is working. ... Full Review

Betrayed by a script that's full of flaws, Bombay To Bangkok is unimaginative and indifferent for the most part, and doesn't once suggest....It's an outstanding scene and undoubtedly the only clever joke in the film.....I'm sorry to say Bombay To Bangkok is sorely lacking in such memorable moments.....Or that absolutely lovely scene in Dor , in which Ayesha Takia, Gul Panag and Shreyas Talpade dance so uninhibitedly to the beats of Kajra Re in the desert.....it's predictable, the casting's all wrong.... ... With each reel, the movie just gets tedious to sit through. Nagesh Kukunoor's Bombay to Bangkok is a failure. Overall, Bombay to Bangkok is a ride better not taken. She does carry off her role pretty well. But overall the film is a letdown. ... Full Review
