On the whole, The Blue Umbrella is a well-made film....also extracting wonderful performances from the cast.....In The Blue Umbrella , the director succeeds in conveying a message (greed can ruin the best of relationships) forcefully towards the end, when the entire village boycotts Pankaj Kapur for robbing the umbrella.....Shreya Sharma is a terrific discovery..... ... This is a great movie to debut in, and the young actress could likely get snapped up by other filmmakers soon.
But I like the new film the best, because while Makdee intrigues you and Maqbool has moments to make your jaw drop with awe, Blue Umbrella just makes you smile.
