With credit to the creators of this live action edition of Blood: The Last Vampire, they really didn't have much to work with to begin with and before I pick apart the movie I feel obligated to preface with this. As... Full review

Martial arts, women with swords, and VAMPIRES...what's not to love???!!! Yes the CGI could have been more realistic... Yes some of the acting could have been better... But if you go into a movie like this looking for academy-award winning performances... Full review
Walking into Blood: The Last Vampire, I was very skeptical that I could walk back out with a feeling of satisfaction. Despite the original animation's short length and the limited plot that accompanied that, I have helped myself to several servings... Full review

I finally got to see the one movie I have been waiting and counting the days for: BLOOD: The Last Vampire. (SPOILERS WITHIN) Jeon Ji-Hyun, going by Gianna, was definitely the best thing about this movie. I couldn't believe that this... Full review

I just got back from seeing this movie and was disappointed. I actually knew relatively little about the movie aside from the plot synopsis going in, and still I was disappointed. The more I think about the movie, the lower I... Full review

I was really looking forward to seeing this film. So much so that I dragged my ill partner out kicking and screaming and quite happily listened to his whining all the way to the cinema. What a mistake. We were about... Full review
This movie NEEDS a do-over

This is one movie that needs a do-over. I say this as a fan of the original anime. The leading actress was good, her teacher (Kato) was good, actually, the cast were fine, it was the script that's bad and the... Full review

It started out with the scenes from the original 2000 anime (great anime BTW), then somewhere after the first 15 minutes, they lost the remainder of the original script. They also ran out of $ for the script writes, so they... Full review

If you're easily distracted by bad visual effects....Blood was based on, I still enjoyed watching Saya (Jeon Ji-hyeon) slice through the scenery in a number of entertaining action sequences.....The lame effects also impeach on a couple of demons that were a cross between characters from a cartoon and a video game....All the cool action helped me look past the horribly fake CG-blood used for every inflicted sword or bullet wound..... ... But where Blood falls flat in becoming the next great action movie featuring humans, demons....tightening the script instead of putting all the effort into fake blood effects, it might have been a better movie.....As long as you can look past the shoddy special effects and the overly dramatic acting.....If you're easily distracted by bad visual effects....Blood was based on, I still enjoyed watching Saya (Jeon Ji-hyeon) slice through the scenery in a number of entertaining action sequences..... ... with dialogue of an awfulness that will be familiar to viewers of very bad movies of all sorts.....it's a reasonable amount of fun.....Here she encounters two mean girls of a snottiness that will be familiar to anyone who's ever seen a generic teen high-school movie.....The soundtrack score by Clint Mansell isn't one of his best, but it hammers the action along quite serviceably.....It's too bad that the final scene -.... ... The best part of the film involves the CIA cleaning up Saya's messes....If only the projectionist could be persuaded to play the first 10 minutes over and over for two hours, this might be a satisfying movie..... ... Full Review
