By definition, a bad movie is one where the script might be okay, but the acting is bad; or maybe the acting and the script are sub par, but the direction and the special effects are good. This is basically a short intro film much like the one in Eddie Murphy's Raw that is meant to set the tone for what's to come, but in Raw this was a brief moment, and in American Hustle it is an entire thirty minutes.
