This is probably one of Tim Allen's poorer performances. I thought he was a really good actor. He's one of my all-time favorites, but this wasn't his best performance. There's good humor and good punch lines, but overall, it isn't what... Full review

Somewhat reminiscent of many little skits put into one, this hilarious film is worth it. Kind of dreary and dumb, it does have some fun in it. Watch it, you won't be amazed but you'll get some genuine laughs.... Full review

It is very funny movie. Because of this two idiotic men starting this crime. Supposed to be serious because of the crime scene, but it became funny because of this two men. it had a great ending to it.... Full review

while Zooey Deschanel as Jenny gets to perfect her deadpan comedy.....movie reviewers really enjoy.....Making most of your cast look stupid is something Sonnenfeld happens to be very good at (and achieved to full effect in Men in Black II), which might explain why he was drawn to Big Trouble.....Some witty lines hit the spot but most will likely induce no reaction at all.....Janeane Garofalo deserves praise for playing it straight as a hard-edged cop, resulting in almost everything she says and does being e ... No point is served by any attempt to outline further story details, other than to note that everything is tied up neatly and logically as we eventually discover what's inside a particular metal box that everyone wants to own. Elsewhere there are fun contributions from Dennis Farina as a hitman, Tom Sizemore as a dumb crook, Janeane Garofalo as a cop and Tim Allen, appealing as the central character about whom most of this frantic tale revolves. ... It's not that 2002's "Big Trouble" is a terrible movie per se, but it's not a Tim Allen movie. Eventually, all the characters come together for a madcap finale, but not before they've bored us to tears. ... Full Review

For Allen, the movie might as well have been a serious drama.....There's nothing so tedious as an unfunny comedy.....It's not that 2002's "Big Trouble" is a terrible movie per se....What little farcical plot there is deals with a menagerie of unlikable people.....and poor Tim Allen is eventually lost in the confusion..... ...
