A cast of ugly folk! Sharon's weave was ridiculous and the storyline downright stunk! Don't waste your time seeing this. Even the nude/sex scenes were sad. You could imagine better sex and a better plot!... Full review

This is a movie with decent potential but executed horrendously. It starts out ok but goes down real fast and becomes a drudgery to sit through the end. Not only that, it's quite predictable and anti-climatic. You go 'blah' in the... Full review

Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction is a horrible sequel. I didn’t even really care about the first Basic Instinct but watching the sequel was just bad. The movie was just basically a porno with no decent story to back it up... Full review

While many people rank D or F to the movie and actress, I doubt how many of them did watch the movie. They are making judgments sololy by her age, but not by her performance. For me, both of her look... Full review

If you're trying to reinvigorate the art of the stylish thriller, the movie you come up with needs to be stylish....Filmmaker Michael Caton-Jones (2002's City by the Sea ) does his best to replicate the music-video stylings of Paul Verhoeven, who directed the original..... ... Full Review

Bottom line : "Basic Instinct 2" is more elaborately plotted than the original, and the result is even worse: horribly over-the-top dialogue, gratuitous nudity and no suspense whatsoever. ... Full Review

In "Basic Instinct 2" the manufactured thrill is gone.....director Michael Caton-Jones shows a strange reluctance to treat this twaddle with the zest it demands.....a first-rate character actor....Jerry Goldsmith 's music (you hear his main theme reprised in the sequel) made everything seem classy..... ... Review by Andrew L. Urban: First off, to save you waiting, yes Sharon Stone looks good - as good as money can buy and as good as the illusion of cinema can deliver. David Thewlis walks off with the acting honours and is the most entertaining as well as credible element in the film, a dry but layered detective who gives us glimpses of a battered soul which may indeed be corrupted by proximity to the radioactive human waste of his work environment. ... Twelve years after the original film flashed its controversial headlights in the shapely, unclad form of Sharon Stone as a bi-sexual novelist with a penchant for Michael Douglas, ice-picks and no underwear, the risk addict is back in full flight. The minimalist and stylishly designed London settings work in the film's favour, yet the psychological impact achieved by director Michael Caton-Jones is minimised by melodrama and sensationalism. ...
