Away We Go itself is actually quite adept at depicting that exact emotion.....and-30-somethings, a certain portion of which, of course, hate nothing more than a movie trying to entertain them....Rudolph gives a particularly lovely, subtle performance, layering her fear, exasperation, and love.....There are some stereotypically indie distractions, like Alexi Murdoch's folky, same-sounding song score....Even more interesting, some of the best scenes between Rudolph and Krasinski were, per the commentary, adde ... To back up nice bits of acting is crisp dialogue, filled with offbeat humor that is generally more rewarding than blatant humor would be.....they certainly could have done away with the gratuitous "on the road to" shots that pepper the screen upon reaching each new destination.....Rather impressively, the entire film was shot in Connecticut....Maya Rudolph was great in Idiocracy....The special features, using a backdrop of soothing Yoga music, try extraordinarily hard, not to get people behind the film.... ... Away We Go is a dramatic and comical road trip movie from Sam Mendes as he deviates from his traditionally darker tone....delivers a sweet indie film about a couple (John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph) who are expecting their first child....While the special features didn't do much for me I still think this is a great movie..... ...
