The film looks magnificent but is far too long.....Or stampeding cattle on the barren red desert, pounding hoofs melding with the frenetic percussion of David Hirshfelder's imposing score.....But these things don't stop us engaging with the film, and some of the big moments, like the cattle stampede towards a precipice....especially once the film's dramatic engine is switched on.....Bryan Brown is totally believable as the scheming King Carney.... ...
