I really can't understand how anyone can like this film! It is one of the worst (if not the worst) film i've seen. The acting is below zero and it isn't even funny not even slightly amusing! The plot is a load of rubbish. They go to stop Dr.Evil getting a ransom or he'll erupt volcanoes. This film has the worst of everything the best part was when the credits rolled up! But the acting is awful and Austin Power just wants to have sex the whole time! Please save yourself the trouble and DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM!

Austin Powers: Man of Mystery I'm embarrassed to admit this one-and-a-half hours of hedonistic humor was so enjoyable, but it was, and the two sequels weren't bad, either, but not as good as this one. This is stupid; this is corny;... Full review

The Flick Filosopher
Austin Powers makes much of the contrast between the 60s and the 90s, and it is simultaneously hilarious and sobering to realize how much has changed in 30 years. But the problem with Austin Powers is that the things it's parodying -- Beatles and Bond movies and all those secret-agent TV shows of the 60s -- were already so tongue in cheek that one needs to go a lot further than this movie goes to really amuse me. ... Overall, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery offers a fairly entertaining little film that supplies its share of decent laughs, and it has a nice rewatchability about it. A prim and proper sort, she and Austin dont hit it off right away, but she slowly starts to develop affection toward the anachronistic old swinger. ... Full Review

The commentary is sporadically amusing, but Myers and Roach both sound bored. Mike Myers turns his silly-o-meter all the way up to 11 with this hugely popular Bond-spoofing shagventure. ... Full Review
