Plot 1
After playing a child-man in "Naani" and a vengeful brother in "Arjun", teen sensation Mahesh Babu will be essaying the role of an assassin in his next release, "Athadu". "It is a slick action film," says Mahesh, who claims to have been involved in all breath-taking action sequences including the 32-day climax episode. The film is to be released Aug 1. Talking about his famed co-star Trisha, Mahesh describes her as one of the best actresses around. "She is very spontaneous, and both of us vibe since I also prefer just two-three takes." Lucky mascot Trisha is portraying a role with a tinge of comedy. "Though this is an action film, my role is also significant," she says. Sonu Sood plays a pal to Mahesh and his character has grey shades. Producer Murali Mohan is trying to make a comeback after a long hiatus. "We waited for Mahesh for considerable time since he suited the script", confided the actor-turned-producer. Murali is all praise for Mani Sharma's music. "He has given it his best shot," says the producer. Writer-turned-filmmaker Trivikram, who impressed with comedies like "Manmadudu" and "Nuvu Naaku Nachavu", is helping in the making of an action film for the first time in his career. He seems to have been inspired by Sylvester Stallone's "Assassins".
