Titled "American Pie : Book of Love" the film will have a link to the first couple of films in that it's tied to the story of that legendary how-to-bonk book that the guys found in the original movie.
Universal has abandoned plans to release a new "American Pie" sequel, with original cast members, in theaters.

There is plenty of fun to be had and the entire cast is terrific, several of them losing their screen virginity as actors in ways they could never have imagined at drama school.
At the same time, it is inventive, funny and fresh, with a bustling soundtrack that pulsates with 'today'.

American Pie is full of great movie moments.
Presented in widescreen (16.9 enhanced, preserving the original 1.85:1 theatrical aspect), American Pie is fun entertainment with hours of special features as an added bonus.

Review by David Edwards: When the original American Pie turned out to be a hit at the box office, it was only a matter of time before a sequel arrived.
The cast from American Pie is reunited for this outing, although its possibly significant that the biggest name actors, Mena Suvari and Chris Klein, wisely keep their heads down for most of the film.

Here's the problem, even though American Pie Presents: Beta House is meant to be blatantly stupid and fun
So take my rating of American Pie Presents: Beta House with a grain of salt - it was graded by my whimsical adolescent half and it doesn't take much to please that part of me.

None of the original cast, except for Eugene Levy, would touch any of these latest movies with a ten-foot pole.
You may remember a sex crazed, vulgar douche bag by the name of Steve Stifler (Seann William Scott) from the original movies.

My 5 Favorite Flicks for Fending Off a Funk....Speaking of Thomas Ian Nicholas, he, along with an all-star cast (Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari, Alyson Hannigan, Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Reid, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Eugene Levy, etc) in one of the funniest, lighthearted move series' ever created, in my opinion..... ... Shannon Elizabeth (the breasts in AMERICAN PIE ) shows up as Brooke, a librarian who Kelso gets pregnant; I never would have thought she had such good comic timing.
It's not the actor's fault; it's all about the writing and keeping the characters fresh and believable.
