An entertaining, if very light, family film.....Hoffman is genuinely funny in many places (see above), and the younger kids provide a good point of view for what will surely be a pre-teen audience.....Almost every scene is played for laughs, the SFX are not very impressive..... ... Full Review

There are worse movies out there aimed at children....The special effects were adequate....Surprisingly enough, with comedians like Kevin Nealon , Tim Meadows , and Andy Richter starring as the clueless adults, the film wasn't all that funny.....not to up to the scale of the summer's other mindless big-budget kid movies.... ... Where this film excels is it's comedy.....Fortunately, Aliens in the Attic should succeed in capturing the imagination of the kids....Every so often there comes along a movie for kids that is sweet, charming and perfect for it's target audience.....Speaking of Ricky, the man who plays him, Robert Hoffman, should be commended for his work..... ... In addition to "High School Musical's" Ashley Tisdale (one of three Ashleys in the cast), the film co-stars Doris Roberts ("Everybody Loves Raymond"), "SNL" veterans Tim Meadows and Kevin Nealon, Conan sidekick Andy Richter and the voice talent of Thomas Haden Church and Josh Peck ("The Wackness").....But it's no worse than much of the megabudgeted dreck out there, thanks in large part to an appealing cast..... ...
