Alien 3 is the 3rd installment in the Alien series. The original, Alien, is one of the best sci fi/horror films ever made and its sequel, Aliens, although no where near the quality of the original, is a good film.... Full review

One would love to have heard the story planning sessions for this abysmal third film that pretty much put the final nail in the series coffin before a lackluster attempt to revive it with another ill-fated fourth film. Ridley Scott's... Full review

I really don't understand how this film could have a 6.0 out of 10. The plot is boring and it destroys all of the characters to start off. Hicks and Newt are DOA, and Ripley goes on to turn her... Full review

David Fincher has populated his movie with a metric ton of completely unsympathetic characters. The alien spends most of its time chasing random, interchangeable bald convicts to their doom. (They even *look* the same!) Anyone who begins to show some... Full review

" This is rumor control, and these are the facts.." Alien 3 pales in comparison to the previous two films. It seems David Fincher wanted to combine the elements of the first two films to create a dark, foreboding action... Full review

If the material appears to strain to offer the new alien attacks a ridiculous religious context, that's because the filmmakers never really evoke a sense of godlessness on the planet community to begin with.
Unlike the director's cut of Aliens , this extended edition of Fincher's first film does more harm than good.

ALIEN 3 looks better than the first two installments in the series, but then again, the quality of film stocks had greatly improved in the interval between the second and third film.
Yes, there are problems with the story, but from what I understand there is a longer director's cut of ALIEN 3 that is reported to be a much better film, than the studio sanctioned theatrical cut.

Alien Resurrection came after Alien 3, and it's difficult to know which film is worse.
