Its worth pondering, by the way, why narrow-gauge (8MM) film is meant to be automatically sinister (blurry, grainy, illicit). The real delight of 8mm, is the film score by Canadian Mychael Danna, which very effectively....originally succeeds at contributing constructively to the films narrative without too often falling into the temptation of existing musical cliches.....is perfectly cast in this psychological thriller which obviously attempts to attract a crossover mainstream and arthouse audience..... ...
