Seeing '3:10 to Yuma' isnt going to have me racing to see the original or even interested to see some of the more well known classics in the genre, it was just a fantastic film which didnt feel to much like a western should feel. to Yuma' is an amazing movie which is big on action and hard on character and emotions. ... I will not go into detail of the journey to the train to not give away story or plot points, but I will say this, this is a fantastic movie. Director James Mangold does a fantastic job showing that all you need to make a good, solid film is good solid storytelling and actors. ... Full Review

Throughout the film, clarity was excellently maintained, dialogue was always intelligible and - with the exception of the gunfire which was tad too high-ended - the special effects were well balanced and natural. The extra two channels in the back certainly helped to maintain a feeling of continuity and they were used to good effect, especially in the many outdoor scenes; at night, for example, where crickets were chirping all around the soundstage. ...
