1920 Reviews

Usually copies of the exorcist are very silly and predictable. 1920 tries to add some twists to the story by making a period movie set in 1920 with a set of unknown actors, adding a reincarnation flavor, and capturing some great visuals. The story starts with Arjun played by Randeep Duggal who marries Lisa against the wishes of his parents. His work takes him to a mansion whose owner wants it demolished to build a hotel. Arjun starts on his work but Lisa slowly starts to feel the presence of somebody else in the house. At the end it becomes a struggle for survival between Lisa and the ghostly presence. Vikram Bhatt shot a big portion of the movie in England and the visuals are really stunning and amazing. The role of Lisa is well played out by Adah especially in the scenes where she is possessed. The story line would have been weak if not for the addition of the reincarnation line. Horror fans will appreciate this movie for its suspenseful moments and scary scenes. The ending is a little predictable and there are some loopholes in the logic but still its a decent value for one's money.
