I saw Rob Reiner at JFK when I was a child, standing in baggage claim just a few feet away from me. I was in awe - too much to even speak to him or ask for an autograph. Meathead was close enough for me to reach out and touch his raincoat. An earlier version of me had felt sorry for the actors who had to play Meathead and Archie, especially Archie Bunker, having to say those awful lines. But but this time I understood how powerful it was to expose the ugly sides of humanity the way it was one on All in the Family. And how people can change - as Archie Bunker was always a work in progress and Michael learned to love him unconditionally. Standing in the airport just a few away was someone really important in my eyes, but whoa - I mean whoa - if I'd only known what Rob Reiner would accomplish.... well, he is still affecting the way I think! Blessings, Rob Reiner and to Carroll O'Connor, who helped the ignorant see.

I have a wonderful idea for a sitcom: Four women, frustrated with their present lives, rent an apartment. When their husbands, children, and in-laws become too much to bear, they go to the apartment. There, they exchange troubles, invite people over who cause more problems. I think it could be a good T.V. program.
