  • Biography: Ken Hughes (January 19, 1922 – April 28, 2001) was a film director, writer, and producer. After the success of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Ken went on to pen the first episode of Prime Suspect in 1969, a full 24 years before Lynda La Plante adapted it for television.
