Biography Jackie Shroff is an actor. He made his film debut with the 1982 film Swami Dada in which he was introduced by Dev Anand, although he had a bit-role in the 1973 hit 'Heera Panna'. After Swami Dada, his subsequent movie was Hero directed by Subhash Ghai in which Jackie played the main lead. This film was a huge hit and made him a star overnight. He was then often paired with another leading actor Anil Kapoor during the 1980s in films such as Karma (1986), Ram Lakhan (1989) and Parinda (1989) which were all huge box-office successes.
