Christopher Jonathan James Nolan (born 30 July 1970) is a British-American filmmaker, writer and producer. The son of an English father and American mother, Nolan is a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States. He is married to Emma Thomas, his longtime producer. They have three children together and reside in Los Angeles.
